Skinny Bang Bang Shrimp

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I get so busy running here and there in this city and by the time I get home I am sometimes pooped! At that time elaborate meals (although very fun and creative) sound like a bit much to cook…so I like to turn to meal items that are fast and super tasty at the same time. I love seafood and I like how much protein is available in a lot of seafood items. I came across a scrumptious recipe called Skinny Bang Bang Shrimp, and let me tell you that it has become a favorite. It’s just tangy enough to have some bite, and sweet enough to leave you wanting more. Plus…it takes roughly 30 minutes to make…I was flabbergasted when I found out I could do this! You can do just the bang bang shrimp or it could be nice to combine it with rice and vegetables as well. It’s your choice! Take a look below for the recipe and directions and don’t forget…you can get all of the necessary ingredients (there’s only a few and they can be decently cheap) online. Just click on the links to each item to go directly to the page and order them. Happy cooking!

Ingredients

1. 1 lb shrimp //ws-na.amazon-adsystem.com/widgets/q?ServiceVersion=20070822&OneJS=1&Operation=GetAdHtml&MarketPlace=US&source=ac&ref=qf_sp_asin_til&ad_type=product_link&tracking_id=gwynethjohans-20&marketplace=amazon&region=US&placement=B0014CSG5Y&asins=B0014CSG5Y&linkId=SL4MKREZZVI75PKA&show_border=true&link_opens_in_new_window=true

2. 3 Tbs plain greek yogurt //ws-na.amazon-adsystem.com/widgets/q?ServiceVersion=20070822&OneJS=1&Operation=GetAdHtml&MarketPlace=US&source=ac&ref=qf_sp_asin_til&ad_type=product_link&tracking_id=gwynethjohans-20&marketplace=amazon&region=US&placement=B00RASEHZ4&asins=B00RASEHZ4&linkId=R4S5FZLYLWSNPEFM&show_border=true&link_opens_in_new_window=true

3. 3 Tbs green onions //ws-na.amazon-adsystem.com/widgets/q?ServiceVersion=20070822&OneJS=1&Operation=GetAdHtml&MarketPlace=US&source=ac&ref=qf_sp_asin_til&ad_type=product_link&tracking_id=gwynethjohans-20&marketplace=amazon&region=US&placement=B007C7IGTQ&asins=B007C7IGTQ&linkId=NB5ZJPRM6NFUPJJT&show_border=true&link_opens_in_new_window=true

4. 1 ½ Tbs sweet chili sauce //ws-na.amazon-adsystem.com/widgets/q?ServiceVersion=20070822&OneJS=1&Operation=GetAdHtml&MarketPlace=US&source=ac&ref=qf_sp_asin_til&ad_type=product_link&tracking_id=gwynethjohans-20&marketplace=amazon&region=US&placement=B00016UX0K&asins=B00016UX0K&linkId=JWH6SRQKFD5NN3DG&show_border=true&link_opens_in_new_window=true

5. 3/8 Tbs Sriracha //ws-na.amazon-adsystem.com/widgets/q?ServiceVersion=20070822&OneJS=1&Operation=GetAdHtml&MarketPlace=US&source=ac&ref=qf_sp_asin_til&ad_type=product_link&tracking_id=gwynethjohans-20&marketplace=amazon&region=US&placement=B0014CSG5Y&asins=B0014CSG5Y&linkId=SL4MKREZZVI75PKA&show_border=true&link_opens_in_new_window=true

Directions:

1. Combine the sweet chili sauce, onions, sriracha and yogurt and be sure that you mix them together well.
2. For raw shrimp: make sure to grill the shrimp on each side for about 5-8 minutes. They should be cooked all the way through.
3. If the shrimp are already made: bake the shrimp at 350 for 5-10 minutes or so.
4. Mix the shrimp and the sauce together. Personally I like to toss and mix the items together vs. brushing the sauce on, but either way it will work.
5. Finally…eat the tasty dish! And have fun. 🙂
